Annapurna Base Camp Trek usually takes 6-9 days to complete depending upon the itinerary and the package you choose. The total distance of ABC trek is about 115 KM. The total distance of Poonhill trek is about 30++ km.
Annapurna Base Camp and Poonhill Trek is not as difficult as other popular treks like Annapurna Circuit Trek and Everest Base Camp Trek. The ABC trek is moderately complex. Annapurna Base Camp Trek can be done at any time as each season offers a different trekking experience. September to October and March to May are considered the best time to trek to the Annapurna Base Camp or Poonhill. During these periods, the days are warm and crystal clear skies. The views of the mountains are just spectacular. Along with that, there is very little chance of rainfall during these seasons. And vegetation at their full blossom.
