ABC is the abbreviation of Annapurna Base Camp. There are 14 snow mountains over 8,000 meters in the world, but only three 8,000-meter snow mountains are located entirely within Nepal's borders. Annapurna (8091 m) is one of them. It is surrounded by many snow mountains of 6,000 and 7,000 meters. The most famous of these mountains is Fish Tail (6991 m), which is regarded as a sacred mountain by the people of Nepal
The main peak of the Annapurna Range, also known as Kutang Peak, has an altitude of 8091 m. The peak was first climbed by French mountaineers Herzog and Rashnal on June 3, 1950. It is the first of the world's ten highest peaks to be conquered, and have since become world famous.
Poonhill is famous for it sunrise and also as Nepal's most popular world class viewing platform for Annapurna Range and Dhaulagiri Range. At an altitude of 3,210 meters, Poon hill has a 180-degree view of the snow mountains, including the world's seventh highest peak, Dhaulagiri (8,167m), the Annapurna group of peaks, and Nepal's most famous Fishtail peak.
Due to the good maintain trail, beautiful and cold scenery and magnificent view, hikers from all over the world are attracted to come trekking in Annapurna region. Villages of all sizes are scattered along the trail, and mountain huts and catering services are available throughout. As long as you are in good health, usually keep exercising, and are not suffering from diseases, you are able to complete Poon hill and Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

This activity requires high level of physical fitness. Participant must have the fitness and stamina to ascent 1000m and above, or at least complete hiking distance of 15km in day hike. We do not accept registration from people suffering from infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, severe respiratory diseases, mental illness, severe anemia, patients recovering from surgery, pregnant women, and people with severe high blood pressure. This event is only open to those aged 18-70.
This event is planned and executed by Nova Adventure. Before registering for the event, please be sure to read, understand, evaluate, and agree to all terms and conditions.
Payment terms
Deposit and Balance Payment
A deposit of RM1000 is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance of RM3199 must be paid by the booking deadline, which is 45 days prior to the event, or once the event is fully booked.
Full event fees must be paid 45 days before departure. Failure to make payment within the specified period may result in automatic cancellation, and the deposit will be forfeited.
Refund Conditions (Does Not Apply to Private Group)
60 Days Prior: Full refund is available for cancellations made more than 60 days before the event, provided no costs have been incurred.
Within 60 Days: Cancellations within 60 days will incur a 20% deduction of the total event fee. Alternatively, participants can find a replacement to receive a full refund.
21 Days Prior: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 21 days of the event. However, participants can still find a replacement to receive a full refund.
14 Days Prior: No refunds or replacement arrangements will be accepted for cancellations within 14 days of the event.
No-Show: Registrations that result in a no-show are non-refundable.

After breakfast start trek to ghorepani . Above the village, the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There is a camp site for a rest and a water stop one hour’s walk above Ulleri. The trail crosses two sparkling streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti where we stop for lunch. Thanti is a Nepali word meaning "rest house”. In the winter the trail can be covered with snow. From Nangethanti we will climb to Ghorepani at 2850m, from here we can see the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m). Dropping down from Tadapani Gurjung the route offers good views of the upper Modi valley. The path then starts the long ascent high above the west bank of the Modi Khola. We pass the village of Chhomrong which lies tucked at the very base of Himal Chuli. From Chhomrong the trail descends until Chhomrong Khola then the trail begins a slow climb as we head up to our destination for the day.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal, which is the north of the beautiful city of Pokhara. You will be trekking in the heart of the Annapurna Conservation area.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek usually takes 6-9 days to complete depending upon the itinerary and the package you choose. The total distance of ABC trek is about 115 KM. The total distance of Poonhill trek is about 30++ km.
Annapurna Base Camp and Poonhill Trek is not as difficult as other popular treks like Annapurna Circuit Trek and Everest Base Camp Trek. The ABC trek is moderately complex. If you are an experienced trekker, then the trek is relatively more straightforward for you. However, if you are a beginner or novice trekker, it can be quite a challenging trek as the trail is full of ups and downs which can make you tired pretty fast. You will be walking on uneven, rugged trails and stone steps. We recommend you to do exercise, walking, running, or any form of exercise before the trek to prepare yourself for the trek.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek can be done at any time as each season offers a different trekking experience. September to October and March to May are considered the best time to trek to the Annapurna Base Camp or Poonhill. During these periods, the days are warm and crystal clear skies. The views of the mountains are just spectacular. Along with that, there is very little chance of rainfall during these seasons. And vegetation at their full blossom.
Since Annapurna Base Camp Trek comes under the premise of the Annapurna Conservation Area, you will require an entry permit (ACAP) to enter the premise of the conservation area. Along with that, you need to obtain a TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) Card.

Yes, it is a MUST to have travel insurance as anything can happen during the trek, such as accidents, injuries, altitude sickness, etc. Please make sure your insurance covers emergency evacuations and hospitals when you sign up for travel insurance.
You will be accommodated in the local teahouses . The teahouses are nice and clean with a private rooms with shared or attached bathrooms. You can get a wide variety of fresh and healthy food in these teahouses. They offer different foods such as dal bhat, pizza, spaghetti, pasta, fried rice, fried noodle, kimche soup noodle, chap chai, momo, tibetan bread, burger, french fried, pancake, etc.

No need, all teahouses along the trek got provide thick blanket. However, due to personal hygiene, you may bring your own sleeping bag.
No, we strongly recommend to bring your own hiking poles due to maintenance and safety reason.
Yes, you may charge your electronic devices with fee base on 1-3 usd for full charging of single device. However, most of the teahouses are solar panel generated electric, power supply gonna to be not stable and down time at night.
Yes, on certain part of the trek. Once you cross Sinuwa, mobile networking out of coverage. However, specific local sim card still be able to connect using 2G network for local people communication purpose.
Yes, on certain area. To connect to wifi, you need to pay certain amount of fee of 3-5 USD for low speed internet.
Yes, Solar panel base or gas base heater. Just pay a fee for hot shower. Fees various depend on teahouses location. We strongly encourage hiker to take shower after Chrommrong to avoid get flu and then get AMS.
You can buy a water bottle on trails for safe drinking water. But having your water bottle is much more convenient as you can pay for the teahouses and fill your bottle, cost ranging from 1-3 USD depend on teahouses location.
Yes, there are small local store selling beverages and snack, as well as pastry shop selling all kind of bread and pastries. Last big store located at Chrommrong, after Chrommrong, only small teahouses selling soft drink and chocolate products.
Yes, as you will be trekking 3000m above sea level . Each person reacts differently to the altitude regardless of their physical fitness. It is highly recommended to learn about altitude sickness, its symptoms, and preventive measure. You should consult with your doctor about the altitude sickness before the trek.
