Taiping is a beautiful ancient city, renowned for multiple firsts in Malaysia and known as the 'Rain City.' The city receives twice the amount of rainfall compared to other states.

Taiping also boasts a century-old tunnel built during the British colonial era. In 1905, the British government constructed a monorail railway with a history of 118 years. However, this railway line ceased operations in 2013, officially marking the end of its historical mission. Today, the railway has been abandoned, and the previous generation of Taiping residents referred to it as the '4 Days and 4 Nights.' Crossing these four tunnels, one would reach a point where visibility is nearly zero, feeling as if four nights have passed. Each tunnel presents different scenery and experiences.

Additionally, two railway tracks on iron bridges offer a unique experience to tourists. Various creatures can be found within the tunnels, including fish, bats, and mushrooms. You may encounter goats, wild boars, kapok trees, hammerhead worms, beetles, and other fascinating wildlife along the way. These elements make the history and natural landscapes of this city truly exceptional.

FTNESS REQUIREMENT

This activity requires minimum level of physical fitness, suitable for those excercise regularly. We do not accept registration from people suffering from infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, severe respiratory diseases, mental illness, severe anemia, patients recovering from surgery, pregnant women, and people with severe high blood pressure. This event is only open to those aged 18-70.

This event is planned and executed by Nova Adventure. Before registering for the event, please be sure to read, understand, evaluate, and agree to all terms and conditions.

  Payment terms

Booking fee of RM140 is payable to secure booking, base on first come first serve basic.

** Booking fee is refundable subjected to below conditions:

a. Event cancellation by Nova Adventure due to insufficient number of participants

b. Event cancellation by Nova Adventure due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. (Example: due to pandemic/ natural disaster/ war/ etc)

c. Event cancellation by Nova Adventure due to fail to secure permit or accommodation at event destination.(Example: Mount Kinabalu Panalaban Hostel/ hiking permit/ etc)
