According to legend, Yubeng Village was once a treasured place unknown to outsiders. However, there lived an old man behind Meili Snow Mountain, who often went to Xidang Village by the Lancang River to borrow food. The villagers in Xidang Village were curious about the origin of the old man and decided to follow him. However, every time they try to track him down, he refuses to Inexplicably disappeared without a trace. Determined to solve the mystery, the villagers hatch a plan.
The next time the old man came to borrow food, they said they would give him millet instead of barley or wheat. He carried the millet bag over his shoulder, and they secretly poked a hole in it, and the millet spilled all the way. The villagers followed him until they reached a large rock, where Xiaomi disappeared. They were puzzled until they found a small road leading to a hidden village - Yubeng under the boulder. So far, Yubeng Village has finally come to light.
Yubeng Village, located at the eastern foot of Meili Snow Mountain, is a picturesque and charming small village. Walking on its road, you will have a feeling of otherworldliness. Surrounded by mountains, the village has a unique terrain and few people. There are only more than 20 households, and there are two post roads leading to Xidang and Ninong, but the West Post Road is more convenient. The village is divided into two parts: the upper village leads to the ice lake and Kawagebo base camp of Sino-Japanese joint mountaineering, and the lower village leads to the breathtaking Yubeng Waterfall. Along the way, visitors marveled at the ancient seal characters and the five trees with the same root. Yubeng Village has a unique terrain, sparsely populated, and only one post road since ancient times, so some people call it "Xanadu Taoyuan" in Tao Yuanming's works.
Meili Snow Mountain ranks first among the eight great sacred mountains in Tibetan areas. Its main peak, Kawagebo, means "white snow mountain" in Tibetan, and is commonly known as "the god of snow mountain". It is divine and rare to see.
